The three founding members of the Indy Convergence met in 2007 at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival.
Robert Negron- artistic director

Dara Weinberg- associate artistic director

Dara holds a B.A. from Stanford University, where she studied with Carl Weber, Cherrie Moraga, and the SF Mime Troupe, and began experimenting with staging choruses, both improvised and choreographed. She most recently directed THE MARRIAGE OF HEAVEN AND HELL, an improvised dance play based on William Blake’s poetry, at the Met Theatre Company. Other Los Angeles directing credits include A VAST WRECK and BRANDOHEAD at Theatre of NOTE, and choreography for AC/DC: A DANCE-THEATER SPECTACULAR at Sacred Fools. She directed and choreographed the premiere of Helma Fries’s anti-war play HUMAN BOMBING for the Berliner Compagnie, a political theater ensemble in Kreuzberg.
Assistant directing includes My Wandering Boy (dir. Bill Rauch) at South Coast Rep, ROMEO AND JULIET (dir. Bill Rauch) and TARTUFFE (dir. Peter Amster) at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, GOLDA'S BALCONY (dir. Aaron Davidman) at TheatreWorks, and LYDIA (upcoming) at the Denver Center (dir. Juliette Carrillo).

Caitlin Swihart

Caitlin began her dance training at Fort Wayne Ballet in Fort Wayne, Indiana. She then went on to study at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas where she earned a B.F.A. in Dance Performance and a B.A. in Anthropology.While at SMU Caitlin choreographed for the student run Brown Bag Dance Series and led choreographic workshops. Caitlin has also studied at the American Dance Festival and at The Martha Graham School of Contemporary Dance and has performed in works by Martha Graham, George Balanchine, Alvin Ailey, Sabrina Madison-Cannon, and Larry White. She is currently a dancer with Dance Kaleidoscope of Indianapolis.
